The Wanda Group and Merlin Entertainments Group signed an agreement on Monday to form partnership.

According to the agreement, Merlin Entertainments will open its world famous wax attraction, Madame Tussauds, in Wuhan at the end of this year.

The fifteenth Madame Tussauds worldwide and fifth to open in Asia - the company already has very successful attractions operating in Shanghai, Hong Kong,and Bangkok, and will open in Tokyo later this month.

With an investment of 80 million yuan ($12.8 million), Madame Tussaud's Wuhan attraction will be located over 3 floors in a new building in the heart of Han Street, one of the city's most exciting retail and leisure developments.

Qu Dejun, Senior Vice President the Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties Co., Ltd., said: “Madame Tussauds will bring a new dimension and international flavour to Han Street and improve the overall quality of the Wuhan Central Cultural District.”
